Are AEL liners made to a specific size?
Our liners are site fabricated to any size or shape you require.

How do you join the seams in your polyethylene liners?
AEL weld Polyethylene liners together with Hot Wedge Double fusion Welding or Extrusion Welding.

Can the seams in polyethylene liners be tested for water tightness?
Yes, AEL test all of their polyethylene work by a combination of Pressure Testing, Vacuum Testing and Spark Testing.

Does AEL provide details of my liner after installation?
Full QA documentation specific to your site is provided. This gives you details around the testing, design and materials used in the liner installation.

Do you gaurantee your liners?
Yes, AEL liners are gauaranteed for up to 20 years exposed to UV and weather in New Zealand conditions

Is there a size limit on the liner or pond size?
No, the projects AEL staff have worked on have ranged from a couple of hundred square metres up to one million square metres.

Why do HDPE liners have wrinkles?
HDPE liners wrinkle due to thermal expansion and contraction. This is created by the variance in daily temperatures.

How are EPDM liners joined and tested?
AEL join EPDM membranes with solvents, lap tapes and flashings
EPDM seams can be tested by vacuum testing or Air Lance Testing the joint.
